The Southern Kentucky Reentry Council and the BRADD Office of Drug Control Policy have partnered to bring back a backpack program that provides inmates with toiletries and resources to help them reintegrate into society.

“If I went to jail, for even four months of my life, I would probably lose almost everything I have. Because I’m not paying my mortgage, I’m not paying my car payment. So a lot of times when you get released, if you don’t have somebody to, you know, steward those things for you, they just go away,” said Douglas Miles, Warren County Regional Jail reentry coordinator.
